Join us for an inspiring talk about how a student idea grew into one of the world’s best-known academic writing platforms, and how Scribbr eventually became part of a major American tech company. A unique chance to hear the entrepreneurial story behind a brand almost every student knows and ask the founder what it’s like to start a startup during your study.

Polarsteps helps over 15 million users document their journeys and relive their travel memories in a beautiful, intuitive way. Koen will talk about the startup’s early days, the challenges of scaling a tech company, and how a clear product vision and strong team culture helped turn a simple idea into a global platform.

Founder The Good Roll
Sander de Klerk is the founder of The Good Roll, a social enterprise on a mission to change lives with something as simple as toilet paper. His company produces 100% recycled, plastic-free toilet paper and donates 50% of its profits to building toilets in communities that lack access to safe sanitation. Sander’s journey is a testament to how entrepreneurship and social impact can go hand in hand - expect a talk filled with passion and purpose.

After the stories of Koen and Sander, BOOST talent will give a short presentation on the possibilities regarding starting your own Student Team, or joining an existing one.
From 16:30 there will be a network drink and information market, student teams will be present here! During the networking drinks you can connect with fellow student entrepreneurs and meet Student Teams that are recruiting new students for their innovative ideas.
